Our Favorites

Hidden (and not so hidden) gems

Temaki Den

Temaki Den is a collaboration between renowned chefs Toshi Kizaki and Kenta Kamo. With flame-torched sushi (aburi-zushi) and a modern cylindrical hand roll (temaki-zushi), this is a phenomenal new American sushi restaurant where modern creativity, tradition, and respect for the craft converge.

This is, without hesitation, our favorite restaurant in Denver.

Cooper Lounge

The Cooper Lounge pays homage to the era of chic cocktail lounges. Denver’s most glamorous lounge offers craft cocktails, an extensive wine list, and stunning views of downtown and Union Station’s Great Hall.

Perfect spot for drinks during an elevated evening out, or pre/post dinner and a show downtown!

Mister Oso

A playful and flavorful Mexican restaurant with rotating taco dishes, Peruvian cebiche, and crudo, as well as crave-worthy vegetarian offerings. The motto of ‘tacos cebiche and smoke’ is no joke - this spot is one of our favorites. Everything on the menu is bursting with flavor. Don’t miss an opportunity to try one of the rotating special frozen cocktails either!

Clyfford Still Art Museum

Bask in sun-filled galleries, immerse yourself in vibrant art, relax in a peaceful place. Explore an architectural wonder designed by Brad Cloepfil specifically to display Clyfford Still's art.

Considered one of the most important painters of the 20th century, Clyfford Still was among the first generation of Abstract Expressionist artists. The museum collection includes approximately 3,125 works created between 1920 and 1980 and his complete archives. This is a perfect spot for a downtown afternoon-adventure!

The Wild

The Wild holds a place in our heart, always. An exceptional coffee shop and dynamic contemporary cocktail bar. We recommend The Wild for working afternoons, happy hour, before dinner cocktails, and before, of after, the theatre for a high end fair value spot. Indoors are adorable, and the patio is a delight with fire pits to enjoy during cool evenings.

Tavernetta

Inspired by the food, wine, and culture of Italy, Tavernetta brings la dolce vita style to Denver's bustling Union Station neighborhood with fresh handmade pastas, an Italian directed wine & spirits list and world-class hospitality. The burrata is the best in Denver. And the bread. And the pasta. Just come and try it, really. Tavernetta is brought to you by the James Beard Award-winning team of Frasca Hospitality Group so expect exemplary service and a delightful evening.

Barcelona

We love Barcelona for consistent, and exceptional, tapas. The service always exceeds expectations and the seasonal menu with staple anchors always hits the spot. Patio is good-dog friendly, they have a great weekday happy hour, and we always enjoy ourselves. From drop-in bar dates to family dinners, parties, brunches, and more, we love coming to Barcelona.

Snooze

10/10 best brunch in Denver. Enjoy the LoDo or Ballpark locations. Not a bottomless mimosa brunch, but the food quality is more than worth the tradeoff. Obsessed with their bennys, and they also have great breakfast cocktails. Enjoy the free coffee while you wait for a table, or sign up for the waitlist in advance online.
